Today, we’ve launched our new website rebuilt from the ground up.
The new ALTAR site has been designed to make finding the right products simpler—but, more importantly, to help athletes better understand how to fuel their training and racing.
Whether you’re preparing for your first marathon, chasing a new personal best or simply trying to stop fading during longer sessions, we want ALTAR to be somewhere you can find practical, straightforward answers.
Here’s what’s new.
Race Predictor & Training Zone Builder
Our new running calculator allows you to enter a recent race result and estimate your potential finishing times across other distances.
It also generates personalised training zones to help you better understand the effort and pace required for different sessions—from easy running and steady efforts to threshold work and faster intervals.
Race predictions are never guarantees. Course profile, weather, training history and endurance all matter. However, the calculator provides a useful starting point when setting goals and planning your training.
Fuelling Calculator
Fuelling requirements aren’t identical for every athlete or every event.
Our fuelling calculator considers the demands of your chosen race to recommend an appropriate carbohydrate target and help you translate it into a practical Speed Dust strategy.
The objective isn’t to give you a complicated nutrition plan. It’s to help answer the questions runners commonly face:
- How much carbohydrate should I aim for each hour?
- How many servings will I need?
- When should I begin fuelling?
- How can I practise this during training?
The calculator provides a starting point—not a replacement for testing your strategy. Always practise race-day fuelling during training and give your gut time to adapt.
More Guidance On How to Fuel
One of the biggest changes to the site is the amount of practical information now available.
We’ve expanded our guidance on using Speed Dust before and during training, increasing carbohydrate intake, stacking servings and introducing fuelling if you’re completely new to it.
Performance nutrition can quickly become confusing. Our aim is to cut through the noise and make the fundamentals easier to understand and apply.
New Blog
This article also marks the beginning of our blog..
We’ll use this space to share practical training and fuelling advice, athlete stories, race preparation guides and a closer look at what happens behind the scenes at ALTAR.
You’ll hear from coaches, nutrition professionals and athletes with genuine experience of preparing for—and performing in—endurance events.
Built To Evolve
The new website is an important step, but it isn’t the finished product.
We’ll continue adding new tools, educational resources and stories that help athletes fuel with greater confidence. If there’s something you’d like us to explain, calculate or build, we’d love to hear it - head to the contact page and drop us a line.
Take a look around and let us know what you think.
Same brand, new look.
Welcome to the ALTAR.
